Rick Ross Announces Two New Signings to Maybach Music Group

The empire keeps growing. Rick Ross has added two new artists to his Maybach Music Group label, making the announcements on Wednesday evening via Twitter. 

First up, D.C.-native Fat Trel, known for his close ties with now fellow labelmate Wale, Trel follows-up his new management deal with Roc Nation by signing under WaleMusic/MMG/Atlantic Records.

The second addition to the team is Atlanta rapper Tracy T. The young prospect gained interest locally this summer with his Zaytoven-produced song “Same Bi**h” with Que. 

Fat Trel and Tracy T’s new home includes Rick Ross, Wale, Meek Mill, Gunplay, Omarion, Stalley, and Rockie Fresh.

Nigo Appointed Creative Director of Uniqlo’s UT Line

We’re big Uniqlo supporters on this side so you know this is great news for us. Bathing Ape creator Nigo has officially announced his new position as creative director of the brand’s UT line. 

Nigo won’t being overseeing everything but just Uniqlo’s limited edition t-shirt line, which is usually big collabos with brands like Disney and Hello Kitty. The first pieces under his watchful eye could hit next summer and will be able available in Mens, Women and Kids.

Drake Named Global Ambassador for Toronto Raptors

As an artist who reps his hometown to the fullest, this was a no-brainer. Earlier today, the Toronto Raptors named Drake as their new Global Ambassador. The OVO star spoke a few words on his new role at today’s press conference, which was held to officially announce Toronto as the host city of the 2016 NBA All-Star Game. With Jay Z giving up his stake in the Brooklyn Nets, it’ll be interesting to see what magic Drizzy can work to help the Raptors.
